King Street Townhouse located within the upper King Street conservation area of Manchester city centre is an impressive Italian renaissance building, designed by local architect Edward Salomons and originally built in 1872 for the Manchester Salford Trustees Bank. Our intention was to respectfully expand on the allure and unique qualities of this historic building with our baby grand hotel providing the need for new contemporary accommodation in the area.

Ten of our guest rooms have been reimagined as the Signature Collection. Taking inspiration from the building's Italian Renaissance heritage, each room introduces a fresh, contemporary perspective while celebrating its own architectural details — rich tones, soft finishes, layered textures and thoughtful touches designed for quiet indulgence.
The Signature Collection sits harmoniously alongside our existing guest rooms, creating a family of spaces that feel distinct yet connected — all reflecting the same warmth and understated luxury at the heart of King Street Townhouse.
All our rooms and suites feature contemporary design with a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee-making facilities, and an en-suite bathroom with a walk-in rain shower, bathrobes and complimentary ESPA toiletries.

Guests can dine at the Tavern Restaurant and Bar, which serves a seasonal menu and classic dishes, or unwind with afternoon tea in the lounge.
