Ngoc Lan Hotel has had a chequered history. Originally a cinema before being transformed in 1981 into the Ngoc Lan Hotel catering to visitors from all over Vietnam. Then in 2007 because of tourism growth demanding more modern facilities Ngoc Lan Hotel was once again demolished. This demand created the rebuilding and upgraded into a 4 star hotel in the heart of Dalat City.
