The original building exists since the late 17th century. The ravages of time made a comprehensive renewal necessary. From the roof onwards and with the target not to loose the original country house style the renovation has been organized.

Set in a 17th-century building, this family-run hotel offers recently renovated rooms with free Wi-Fi. The ski bus takes 20 minutes to Obertauern and stops in front of the hotel.

All soundproofed rooms are individually furnished with little details such as massive wooden furniture, wooden floors and comfortable armchairs. Some feature large windows with panoramic mountain views and a sofa.

Guests of Gasthof Weitgasser can relax in the sauna after a day on the slopes or enjoy a game of table top tennis or darts in the games room. In the warmer months, bicycles can be rented free of charge.

The restaurant serves a hearty breakfast every morning. Half-board comprises a 4-course dinner in summer and 5 courses in winter which include Austrian delicacies and international cuisine. Vegetarian and special diet menus are also available.
