Spa hotel Pro Patria has a rich history - opened on 30 May in 1916 in the presence of Habsburg Archduke Franz Salvator and Louis Winter for the treatment of injured soldiers during the First World War. Unique film footage exists of the opening ceremony and inaugural start of the new sanatorium, which is a hotel attraction.
The hotel has an interesting fan-shaped plan. Balneotherapy services are located in the heart of the "fan", and around the radials various pavilions in addition to hotel rooms, a cafe and two restaurants can be found.

The Pro Patria is housed in a renovated spa building from 1916 set in the middle of the Spa Island, in the Váh River. Both Wi-Fi and wired internet are available free of charge.

Fully renovated in 2015, all spacious and air-conditioned rooms feature modern design furniture, a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, a telephone, a minibar, a safety deposit box, a seating area, a desk, and a private bathroom with a shower.

Guests can dine at the Sisi Restaurant, which also caters to special dietary needs. The Franz Josef Café is located in the hotel, while the famous Kantina Café with its outdoor terrace lies 10 metres away.

Golf enthusiasts can head over to the 9-hole golf course, 500 metres from the hotel. The Spa Park with its music pavilion Harmony lies 10 metres away.
