During the times of the British Raj, this was an exclusive hotel, known for its fabulous ballroom dances and fashionable clientele. 130 years later, this elegant, restored grand heritage hotel retains much of its colonial charm. Located at the quieter end of the bustling Mall Road, near the Viceroy Lodge, The Oberoi Cecil is announced by a crisp, white facade and smart, green terrace railings. Inside, a lobby punctuated with marble fireplaces leads guests to a comfortable lounge, which is lit from above by a skylight that spans the length and breadth of the hotel's signature atrium.

Situated in Chaura Maidan, Shimla - 7000 feet up in the Himalayas, The Oberoi Cecil offers luxury accommodation along with an indoor heated swimming pool, spa and 3 dining options. Free WiFi is available in the rooms of the property.

Classically furnished rooms with Burma teak wood floors are equipped with a satellite TV and DVD player. They also offer tea/coffee-making facilities and en suite bathroom with shower.
